Seriously?!

My little brother graduated from college this weekend, so we had to make the journey to Montana. Usually we don't go to Montana until July when it's warm and sunny and you can hang out all day in the yard. Becky and I were being optimistic and wore T-shirts and flip flops on the drive up there. Well as you can see from the picture it was not very warm or sunny, perfect weather for Montana in early May, YUCK!!!!!

Anyway I'm very proud of my little brother for majoring in Civil Engineering. Now if only we can find a job for him in Boise that would be even better.

El Granjero

This past year I have been teaching little kindergartners Spanish. There were days when it was really cold and snowy, or I had gotten to bed way to late, and I had to drag myself out of bed to be at school by 7:45. But as soon as my little kiddos came walking through the door it made it all worth it. I have really enjoyed getting to share this experience with such sweet kids.

Last night was our end of the year performance. My kids sang "Old Mac Donald" or "El Granjero" They all dressed up like farms and had little animal puppets to add to the song. They did a great job and I think the performance was a success. I'm going to miss my little guys.

Happy Birthday To Me!!!

Well today is my 28th birthday. For the last couple weeks I have been dreading this birthday. The others that have come and gone haven't seemed so bad, but there is something about being 28 that makes me feel particularly old.

Last night as I was thinking about the past year and the years still ahead of me, I decided that I should be grateful for all the wonderful things that I have experience. I think lately I have focused more on the things that have not transpired in my life.

So, I am grateful for my life, for all the people that have come, and gone. I would not be who I am today, and I kind of like her, without all my life experiences. I am thankful for the gospel, my testimony, and a loving Heavenly Father who is ever watchful and who I know that even if I don't always understand the path he has layed out for me he does.

The Great Outdoors!

This winter seems to have lasted a lot longer than usual and was colder than usual. This weekend we finally saw glimpses of spring and took the opportunity to go camping. I got a new sleeping bag and finally used it somewhere other then a cabin. Most people thought we were a little crazy going to the mountains, but it actually wasn't too bad.

Wow!

I didn't realize until today that I have not been on here for a very long time. Probably because there hasn't been a lot to report. But I'll do my best at an update. I cut my hair again, but this time it's quite a bit shorter stay tuned for pictures. My parents came and went but that was pretty uneventful since they were really only here to see the new baby.

I have been watching a lot of Survivor and a little American Idol here and there. I had always refused to watch Survivor, but Nathan got me hooked on it last season. I love James, you can never understand anything he says. I have also come to realize that American Idol isn't too bad either. The writer's strike was the best thing to happen to reality TV.

So tonight I am having a Relief Society sleepover at my house. Hopefully everything goes well and all the girls have a good time. I'll have to add some pictures later.

Utah

This past weekend I made a quick trip down to Utah. Life in Boise was getting way too stressful and weekend with my girlfriends sounded like a great idea. Amy made the cute little onzies for the babies, which totally made my day. Thursday and Friday I ran errands with Amy and helped her out with the babies. She is a great mom and does such a great job with the babies. I'm sure her arms are getting quite the workout, my little chicken wings barely managed. Saturday my friend Shari had her baby shower and I'm glad I got to see her and some of my other friends. I also spent some time with my single friends, Clinton and Brittany. Clinton is always good for relationship and political talk, we had a good time.

Anyway, thanks girls for making the weekend so great. Chels your house is beautiful, hope the cruise is a blast. Next time I'll have to spend time with Stacy and Hailey, since I missed you girls this time around.

The girls

Here's a better picture of Courtney, and of course I had to put one up of Lindsey. I went to Ben and Becky's last night to hang out and as usual had so much fun. Lindsey is so active and funny to watch. When I got to the house she was playing in her room, but as soon as she saw me she came running in with her little duck slippers so excited to see me. It totally made my day.
